Delivery terms and conditions

We normally dispatch the same day or the day after we register your order, provided the ordered item is in stock. If your order contains made-to-order items, the order will not be dispatched until we can make a consolidated delivery.

Orders are normally delivered as parcels via GLS or PostNord and can be tracked with Track & Trace after dispatch.

All orders are subject to shipping costs as stated when ordering. Any fees for unclaimed parcels will be charged to the customer.

Customers also have the option to collect ordered items from our showroom by prior arrangement (select “Collection - Showroom in Søborg” when choosing the delivery method). In this regard, an appointment must be booked – please complete the form on https://chigee.dk/showroom/

Returns and cancellation policy

The right of cancellation gives you the right to cancel purchases made online, on the website chigee.dk, without giving any reason.

To exercise the right of cancellation, you must notify the Seller within 14 days of receipt of the goods by using our return form or by letter, e-mail or telephone with reference to the order number.

You must then return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the date on which you notified the Seller that you wish to exercise your right of cancellation. The deadline is met if you simply return or dispatch the item before the expiry of the 14 days.

If you cancel a purchase later than 14 days from the day you receive the item, you cannot generally get a refund.

If you have purchased an item at a trade fair or similar and the product is handed out at the time of purchase, it is considered a regular purchase in a physical store. This means that there is no automatic right of cancellation under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. The 14-day cancellation period generally only applies to distance sales, such as online purchases or sales by phone, email or mail order.

However, at Chigee Denmark we have decided that despite this, you can cancel your purchase for up to 14 days, provided that the item is returned in unbroken, undamaged packaging. This means that the product must not be unwrapped and the plastic film on the outside of the packaging must not be broken.

Refund of the purchase amount

The seller must refund the amount you have paid for the item. We will also refund the original standard delivery. If you have chosen a more expensive form of delivery than our cheapest standard delivery, the additional cost will not be refunded. The amount must be refunded to you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which the Seller has received your notice of cancellation. However, the seller may withhold the refund until the item has been received back and confirmed to be in the agreed condition.

Condition of the item upon return

You are only liable for any deterioration in the value of the goods caused by handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

In other words, you can try the product in the same way as if you were trying it out in a physical store, but you cannot actually use it. This also means that you are not allowed to permanently install the equipment on your motorbike.

If the item has been tried on in addition to what is described above, it is considered used, which means that in case of cancellation of the purchase, you will only get part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the commercial value of the item.

If the item, its original packaging or included contents are damaged or defective and this means the item cannot be resold as new, a deduction may be made from the amount refunded. The deduction will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on the commercial value of the item after it has been returned.

Cost and risk of returns

You shall bear the cost of returning the goods and you shall bear the risk of the goods from the time the goods are delivered to you until they are returned to the Seller.

Please return the item directly to a parcel shop near Seller's address (see above).

Complaints

As a consumer, you have a 2-year right to complain under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. This means that you can complain about defects and faults in the item that were present at the time of delivery, or where the cause of the fault was present at the time of delivery.

Complaints must be made within a reasonable time after you have discovered the defect. If you complain within 2 months of discovering the defect, the complaint will always be considered timely.

If the complaint is justified, depending on the specific situation, we will arrange for repair, exchange, a price reduction, or a refund.

If you wish to advertise a product, please contact us as soon as possible at our return form, before you return the item. Please describe the fault as precisely as possible and attach pictures or videos if relevant.

If we receive an item for a warranty claim, and our investigation shows that the item does not have a defect or fault covered by the Sale of Goods Act, we reserve the right to charge an inspection fee of 600 £ incl. VAT incl. return shipping.

The fee will only be charged if the complaint is not justified, for example, if the item is not faulty, or if the fault is due to incorrect use, assembly, handling, damage, unauthorised intervention or normal wear and tear.

If the complaint is justified, no inspection fee will obviously be charged.

Complaint options

A complaint about a product or service can be submitted to Nævnenes Hus, Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg via the complaint portal for Nævnenes Hus. The mediation team will attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation, and if a solution cannot be found, you can bring the complaint to the Consumer Complaints Board.

As a rule, it is a prerequisite for a complaint that the product or service you want to complain about has cost a minimum of DKK 1,110 and a maximum of DKK 100,000. The amount limits are subject to change. You must pay a fee to have the complaint processed.

Reservations

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time in the future. For purchases, the terms and conditions in force at the time of the order shall apply.
